Resonator

A resonator is a device used to enhance the acceleration of a beam generated by the source assembly before it reaches the disk.
This device consists of a quarter-pole antenna positioned between ten resonators.
Purpose of the Overhaul
  • Prolonged use of the resonator causes component contamination, deterioration of consumables, and specification drift (spec-out) in various elements such as resonant frequency, resistance, and phase angle.
  • This results in abnormally high reflectivity, rendering normal operation impossible.
  • For these reasons, an overhaul is performed.
