Resonator는 소스 어셈블리에서 생성된 빔이 디스크에 도달하기 전에, 그 빔의 가속을 향상시키기 위해 사용하는 장치입니다.
이 장치는 10개의 Resonator 사이에 있는 쿼터 폴(quarter pole)로 구성되어 있습니다.
Overhaul의 목적
- Resonator를 장시간 사용하면 부품의 오염과 소모품의 열화, 그리고 공진 주파수, 저항, 위상각 등 여러 요소의 사양 이탈(spec-out) 현상이 발생합니다.
- 이로 인해 반사율이 비정상적으로 높아져 정상적인 사용이 불가능하게 됩니다.
- 이러한 이유로 Overhaul을 수행하게 됩니다.
